We all get so wrapped up in our own problems, we sometimes forget the things that truly matter and the things we are thankful for. First of all, I’m so grateful for my parents. Without them, I wouldn’t be where I am today. I’m also very thankful for my friends. So many of them have inspired me, have kept me going, and have had my back whenever I needed someone to rely on even when they weren’t aware of it themselves. And lastly, I’m so thankful for God and the blessings that He has provided this whole year. Yes, it’s been tough, but I’d have to say that this has been one of the most blessed years of my life.
So before you guys get all caught up in wishing for a special someone, or a million bucks, or a happier life, remember who sacrificed their lives for you to have the life you’ve already got. Thank the people who went across the seas to fight for us and be sure to show your gratitude for the people that fought to preserve your freedom. Be thankful that you haven’t had to endure the hardships of war that they have and pray for those still over seas. Here’s to bringing the troops home safely.
You know when someone is saying that just because it naturally comes out of their mouth. But you also know when someone is saying that because they truly mean it. Getting those phone calls and texts from people who genuinely want to know how you’re doing, not because they’re just curious but because they really care, reassures you that you’re not alone in whatever you’re going through. Just knowing that you have friends who are sincerely there for you is one of the best feelings ever.
